MOUNT DUNDEE

MOUNT DUNDEE   1910m   6250′
This low elevation mountain just south of Nelson is not often climbed. Good early or late in the season.

Drive: From Ymir, drive up cemetery road that gives access to both Wildhorse Creek Rd and Oscar Creek Road. Take the right fork to Oscar Creek Rd and drive 6.3km and park 1520m (4987′). 

Route: Start walking north on a decommissioned road with a gigantic water bar at the start. Continue on this wide road for 2.5 km. Leave the road and ascend the cutblock for the final 200m ascent to the lightly treed summit.
