HIKING in the CANADIAN ROCKIES

For over 40 years, I lived a day’s drive away from the southern Rocky Mountains of Canada. My wife’s family had a cabin in Waterton Lakes and I spent 17 summers hiking and climbing in the park and adjacent Glacier National Park in Montana.
Over many summers, I hiked and backpacked throughout parts of the Rockies. The best of those trips were mountaineering adventures with the Alpine Club of Canada. The Kootenay Mountaineering Club had many hiking camps in the Rockies.

About admin

I would like to think of myself as a full time traveler. I have been retired since 2006 and in that time have traveled every winter for four to seven months. The months that I am "home", are often also spent on the road, hiking or kayaking. I hope to present a website that describes my travel along with my hiking and sea kayaking experiences.
